1. Opening times

Reading room

Monday - Friday: 08.30 -18.00
Saturday-Sunday: Closed

We can answer stack requests till 15.30, after that only the reading rooms’collections may be used.

Opening times in July

Monday - Friday: 8.30-17.00
Saturday-Sunday: Closed

The Library is closed in August.

2. Library Services

Reading room for 40 persons, free internet access for students of the College and registered readers. Unregistered visitors are charged 100 Ft/hour for accessing the internet.

Printing fees:

B&W A/4:          10,- Ft
Colour A/4:    140,- Ft

3. Entitled readers own:


  • a valid library card (cards’ validity map the school year: they are valid from september to the end of July – the Library is closed in August), or
  • a one-day pass, issued for a single day


4. Book borrowing

Borrowing is the priviledge of students and employees of the College and ministers of the Transtibiscan Church District of the Reformed Church. The Library participates in the interlibrary loan system of Hungary.

5 books may be borrowed at a time, loans can be renewed once. The loan period is 4 weeks. Overdue fines are applied for late return of borrowed materials.

5. Reading rooms

All library materials of our reading rooms and items requested from our stacks may be used without restriction in opening hours. We reserve stacked materials if needed for further use.

Use of some of our special collections (incunabula, early Hungarian prints, manuscripts) is allowed if applicant is granted a research permit.

6. Photocopying

Photocopying is restricted to books published after 1945 and is carried out in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations. Photocopying of all other materials may occasionally be permitted upon individual weighing and consideration. It is strictly prohibited to photocopy bound volumes of serial documents so as to prevent deterioration.

7. Digizitation

Digital copies may only be used for personal or educational purposes. (Re)publishing of digitized material is bound to paying an extra fee. Please send your inquiry to gszaboatsilver [dot] drk [dot] hu
